About
The Wind River Native Plant Nursery is located in Stabler, Washington, within the Historic Wind River Work Center. UCD has partnered with the Wind River Trust to establish the nursery with the mission of providing restoration partners and the community with regionally-adapted native plant materials.
Look through our most current inventory here. There are no pre-sales at the moment, but the nursery will be open to the public during our fall sale on October 3rd at Logtoberfest. Or reach out to mia@ucdwa.org to schedule an appointment to come pick up and buy plants.
Our nursery grows native plants for two different purposes. Roughly half of our stock is set aside for restoration work, and the other half is available for anyone to buy.
Restoration Stock (RPPP)
About half of our current inventory is funded through the Riparian Plant Propagation Program (RPPP). These plants are grown specifically to support riparian restoration β the work of replanting and stabilizing streambanks, increasing biodiversity and habitat in floodplains, improving water quality by filtering runoff, shading streams to keep water cool for fish and other aquatic life, and recreating the natural functions that healthy rivers depend on.
We'll be using a large share of this stock ourselves: we have about a dozen riparian restoration projects going into the ground this fall. The rest is available to other restoration practitioners, organizations, and partners working on similar projects in the area.

Fall Sale (Public Sale)
The other half of our nursery stock is available for anyone to purchase. All plants are sold in one-gallon containers for $10 each.
