Biochar is charcoal made from wood and plant materials using low-oxygen heat. When added to soil, it improves water and nutrient retention, supports healthy plants, and locks carbon in the ground for hundreds to thousands of years.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Learn from local experts

  • See how biochar helps forests, gardens, and farms

  • Connect with community partners

  • A full day of learning with special community guests
