Logtoberfest and 2nd Annual Fall Native Plant Sale
Join us for the second annual fall native plant sale as we partner with the Wind River Trust. The Logtoberfet Event is free of charge and takes place from noon - 6pm on Saturday, Oct. 4th. We will be hosting the native plant sale from noon - 4pm. The event will be held at the Historic Wind River Nursery, 9 miles North of Carson, WA on Wind River Hwy. in Stabler, WA. Located at 312 Chapman Ave. Click here for directions. There will be no pre-sale of plants and plants will come in one-gallon pots. Logtoberfest is a community celebration and collaboration between the Wind River Business Association, Wind River Trust, and Underwood Conservation District.
See blacksmithing demonstrations, explore vintage logging, tour the Wind River Arboretum, try out crosscut saws with BackCountry Horsemen of Washington and browse a wide selection of vendors featuring handcrafted goods, artwork, and Sasquatch-themed items. Local musicians Whiskey and Spurs and Lucas Johnson will provide live entertainment.
Families will find plenty to do with games, crafts, face painting, and other children’s activities. For adults, a designated beer garden will feature local craft brews and beverages. The beer garden entry fee of $20 includes one beverage ticket and a commemorative mason jar. And one more thing—stop shaving those legs! Attendees are invited to participate in the Hairiest Leg contest. Or throw on your flannel garb for the Dress Like a Logger contest.
We are always looking for help with the event. It’s a great chance to see friends and support the community. If you are interested in volunteering for this event please email: info@windriverwa.org or james@ucdwa.org.
