Board of Supervisors Appointed Position Open
A board seat on the Underwood Conservation District is available for appointment by the WA State Conservation Commission. Conservation district board supervisors are public officials who serve without compensation and set policy and direction for the conservation district. An applicant must be a registered voter in Washington State and may be required to own land or operate a farm. Applicants for appointed positions do not have to live within the district to apply. For more information or to obtain the online AF1 appointed supervisor application form, contact UCD at 509.493.1936 or read the CD Supervisor Appointment Guide found on the Conservation Commission website at scc.wa.gov/elections-and-appointments. Applications and supporting materials must be received by the Commission no later than March 31, 2026.
Board of Supervisors Elected Position
A mail-in only election for a full-term board position at Underwood Conservation District will be held on February 17, 2026. Registered voters who reside within the conservation district boundary are eligible to vote. Ballots can be requested at www.ucdwa.org, by email to ann@ucdwa.org, or by phone 509-493-1936 option 8. The deadline to request ballots was January 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM. Completed ballots must be received by UCD by February 17, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
Board candidates must be registered voters residing in the conservation district and depending on the composition of the current board of supervisors, may be required to own land or operate a farm. Interested candidates must file their candidate required information by mailing it to Underwood Conservation District, PO Box 96, White Salmon, WA 98672, or by emailing it to ann@ucdwa.org. The candidate filing deadline for the full-term position is January 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
